About

{Key-awh-nuh} It could be spelled Kiyana, Keonna, or Qianna but I think I like Kiana the best.  As you may be able to tell from the photos below, the beach is my happy place and I could spend an endless number of hours here.

Therefore, I’m pretty lucky to have the opportunity to live in California! I’m a university student and I will be a pharmacist one day.

I love noodles of any kind. That would include pad thai, chow mein, chow fun, udon, spaghetti and especially Filipino spaghetti. I’m also a huge fan of mangos and potatoes {but not necessarily together}. Honeydew slush with boba, salted caramel gelato, and raspberry sorbet are my favorite “go-to” treats. But enough about food because the cravings will start and I think I hear my tummy rumbling.

I’m half Chinese, half Filipino and {according to my five-year-old self} I’m “whole American”. This all happens to be part of a larger topic regarding identity, which I’m still attempting to figure out. My ethnic and cultural background may help explain my adoration for noodles, mangos, and potatoes.

My younger brother is my source of strength and although I don’t think we look very much alike, he’s pretty darn important to me. Thanks lil’ bro for keeping me grounded.

I also love to be around people, but I am introverted and fairly independent. Therefore these personalities may conflict at times. I’m a solo wanderer, a large wonderer, and a little bit of a worrier, who is longing for more travel. I love to tell stories and I have this struggle between keeping to myself and oversharing every detail. So for the sake of length, I’ll keep it at this for now.

But one last thing! I love to smile. I’m a strong believer in positivity so pick a smile, pass it on, and welcome to my blog. 🙂

P.S. Read what the title “Ocean of Clouds” means to me here.
